Lakewood Economic Development

Sustainability_Energy_Landing Page

Lakewood's approach to Economic Development is as unique as our community. We value concerted communications, partnerships and coordinated policy to improve the quality of life. We focus on facilitating appropriate real estate development and infrastructure, maintaining our regional competitiveness, promoting environmental and economic sustainability, encouraging diverse job growth, assisting small businesses, and maintaining our strong local employment base.

The City of Lakewood is the fifth-largest city in the state of Colorado and we continue to thrive. Home to the W light rail line, Lakewood offers numerous opportunities for commercial and residential development with easy access to Interstates 25 and 70, Colorado 470, U.S. 6, and Denver International Airport. Lakewood is located 10 minutes west of downtown Denver, 10 minutes east of the foothills and right next to the region’s major educational and research institutions.

The City of Lakewood's Economic Development Division is the primary contact for businesses wishing to start, relocate, expand or develop a real estate project within Lakewood. We offer comprehensive economic development services, including:

Real Estate Searches                               Development Updates
Navigating the Development Process    Community Information
